I founded, Mrs. Marcelle's School of Dance with one simple goal: to create a Dance Studio where kids can truly be kids. I believe that while strong technique is important, Dance should also be filled with laughter, friendship, singing, and joy. Every class is designed to help students grow as dancers while making memories they'll cherish for years to come.
I was fortunate to study under Caroline Kaiser, who taught me that dance is about so much more than technique. She showed me that the greatest teachers lead with love, encouragement and unwavering support for every student regardless of their ability. That philosophy has shaped my teaching for over 35 years and remains the foundation of everything we do at MMSD. Our mission is simple: Enriching our students lives every day-helping every child build confidence, poise, character, friendship, and a lifelong love of dance.
3 Fun Facts: I don't have a middle name, I've lived in Central Oregon since 1973, and I've been hit by a car twice (not the same car!).

Favorite thing about teaching at MMSD: Besides recital, my favorite moments are when I give a dancer a correction, they get it, and you can see that lightbulb moment. Watching their eyes light up with pride and confidence after accomplishing something new is the most rewarding part of teaching.
3 Fun Facts: In addition to teaching at Mrs. Marcelle's since 2008 I've also been a massage therapist that long. I love making desserts, especially French macaron. I'm the oldest of 7 kids, my house was never boring!

Favorite thing about teaching at MMSD: The magic of this studio is unlike any other. I love the creativity we're encouraged to bring to our classes, and I especially love the age group I get to teach. Dance is about so much more than technique. It's about confidence, friendships, and learning how to celebrate others and yourself. Getting to be part of that and watching these young dancers on stage is one of the best feelings!
3 Fun Facts: I have a dog named Lucky, my favorite season is fall and I love a good hair bow!

Favorite thing about teaching at MMSD: I love being part of a studio that truly feels like family. Dance has always been one of my greatest passions, and having the opportunity to share that passion with my students is incredibly rewarding. I love watching each dancer grow—not only in their technique and confidence but also into kind, strong young women. Being a small part of their journey is a privilege, and I strive to create a fun, encouraging environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to be their best.
3 Fun Facts: I’ve been roasting coffee since I was 14 and am a professional coffee roaster. My younger sister, London, is also a dancer, so dance has always been a big part of my family. I’ve been dancing since I was 2½, trained at MMSD for over 20 years, and have taught here for almost 14 years!

Favorite thing about teaching at MMSD: I love teaching at MMSD because it is my home. It is one of the places that I spent so much of my childhood and dedicated many hours to learning all different styles of dance. It is what pushed me to continue dancing at Gonzaga University while completing my undergrad. I created lifelong friendships while growing up with Marcelle and it is a place that I have all my happiest memories. I love having an opportunity to give the same experiences to other girls who love dance as much as I do. Getting to be creative with choreography is one of my favorite ways to release, which is one of the best lessons Marcelle taught me at a young age. I love my dance family!
3 Fun Facts: I have a dog named Trafford, I started dancing at MMSD when I was 3 years old, and I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University
